Al-Darraji served on the Fallujah City Council in 2004 and authored several important reports about the destruction and human rights violations committed during the sieges of Fallujah. He was eventually forced to flee Iraq, under threat of assassination. Today he is a University Assistant in Cryobiology at Graz University in Austria and he is the author of Falljah' Secrets and Nuremberg' Barrier: Who is the Terrorist?.
